Renowned Nigerian gospel artiste, Chidinma Ekile, previously known for her secular music, has issued a cautionary note to Davido and other members of the Givers Association of Nigeria.
Expressing her thoughts on her Instagram story, the now devout Christian warned about the potential downsides of being excessively liberal with one's finances, especially when dealing with professional manipulators within the giving-receiving dynamic.
Chidinma Ekile emphasized the need for individuals to set limits on their generosity, cautioning against falling prey to guilt-tripping tactics that might lead to parting with money unwillingly.
In her words:
“You can actually fall by lifting others, put a limit to how you help people. Don’t do too much, and never allow them to guilt-trip or manipulate you into getting money off you.”
