Solid Star's brother, Joseph, has spoken out about the musician's struggles, revealing that his declining career drove him to addiction and, subsequently, mental health issues. Videos circulating online depict Solid Star aimlessly wandering the streets, causing concern among fans and onlookers.
In an interview with Punch Saturday Beats, Joseph explained the factors contributing to his brother's predicament. He admitted to managing Solid Star's Instagram account but had to draw attention to the singer's situation. Solid Star, known for not burdening others with his problems, was grappling with career-related stress. Joseph emphasized the importance of seeking help during difficult times, even if it doesn't involve begging for assistance. He also highlighted that the combination of career pressure and drug addiction worsened Solid Star's mental state.
"I do not stay with him, but he smokes loud a lot, and hardly eats," Joseph revealed.
However, there's some hope in sight as Solid Star is now receiving treatment in rehab, with Joseph noting the lack of support from his colleagues in the music industry.
"I know everyone has their problems but none of his colleagues have shown support. However, DJ Neptune called me to find out if it was a scam, and I told him it was not. He said he would call me back, but I have not heard from him since then. The only one of his colleagues who has shown support is the comedian, Isoko boy. It is mainly his fans and loved ones that have genuinely shown care and support," Joseph stated.
