The former girlfriend of reality TV star Bright Chigozie Mbata, popularly known as Bright Morgan, has spoken out publicly for the first time since he began mentioning her in multiple post-show interviews following his BBNaija exit.
Her statement comes in response to Bright Morgan’s claim that she attempted to get him disqualified from the BBNaija reality show while he was still a contestant, an allegation that has stirred controversy among fans.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Bright’s ex expressed frustration, accusing him of repeatedly dragging her name into the spotlight unnecessarily. According to her, his actions have now “opened a can of worms” that she had previously chosen to keep private.
Relationship ended in August
She clarified that she officially ended her relationship with Bright on August 7, 2025. As part of closing that chapter, she also revealed that she requested he remove her name from a wrist tattoo he had done while they were together.
To avoid any misunderstanding, she explained that she informed not only Bright but also his parents, siblings, and close friends about her decision to walk away, making sure there was no ambiguity about the breakup.
Allegations of financial dependence
In her detailed revelation, she alleged that Bright relied heavily on her financially during their relationship. According to her, only a week into their romance, Bright asked her for money to buy food and groceries, claiming he had no financial support system.
She stated that she continuously provided for him, insisting that she gave out of love and a genuine belief in his sincerity. Despite this, she said Bright has painted her in a false light during his recent interviews.
Hints at deeper issues
While her statement addressed some of the controversies, she hinted that her side of the story goes far deeper than what people know. She expressed disappointment at the false accusations she believes Bright has leveled against her, adding that she felt compelled to break her silence to protect her name and truth.
She promised that more details would be shared at the right time, emphasizing that it is unfair for people to judge her without hearing the full story.
She wrote, “It is not a crime to love someone deeply and genuinely. Yes! I am not ashamed or afraid to say that I loved Bright Morgan genuinely, after he made me believe he was genuine. Seven days into our relationship, Bright Morgan needed my financial help, stating that he had no money for food or groceries, and he had no one else to turn to. I sent him the money, and it’s been that way ever since. Please do not be quick to judge until you hear the full story. It is a lot deeper than you think.”
Her posts have since drawn attention across social media, with many awaiting further revelations as the drama between her and the reality star continues to unfold.
