An official from the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has provided insights into the examination conducted on the controversial crossdresser, Bobrisky, following his admission to the correctional center.
Speaking on condition of anonymity to PUNCH reporters, the top official at the Ikoyi Custodial Centre disclosed that Bobrisky, who was sentenced to 6 months in jail, underwent examination upon admission to the facility.
The examination results revealed that Bobrisky had not undergone any gender realignment surgery or any alteration to his male genitalia, contrary to his claims.
The official stated, "Bobrisky publicly identified as male, and court proceedings are public records. During admission, every inmate undergoes examination. Bobrisky was examined, and no changes to his gender or genitalia were detected. His male biological features remained unchanged."
"Following the examination, he was assigned a cell and had fellow inmates. He received a bed space and adhered to routine activities like other inmates, similar to a boarding school environment," the official elaborated.
Furthermore, it was clarified that Bobrisky is not given special treatment and abides by the facility's regulations like all other inmates.
"He participates in classes, meals, study time, and lights out like everyone else. He conforms to these rules without exceptions. He has been integrating into the facility's routine since his arrival," the official affirmed.
Addressing viral reports suggesting Bobrisky is being protected from potential abuse by other inmates, the official debunked such claims.
"He does not receive preferential treatment or protection. He follows the same rules and faces the same consequences as any other inmate. Isolation or single cells are standard practice to prevent disease outbreaks. Homosexuality is strictly prohibited in male prisons, and any attempt to violate him will be met with legal action," the official concluded.
