Controversial crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, widely known as Bobrisky, is currently in custody at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, located in Alagbon, Lagos State, following his arrest at the Seme border. According to reliable sources, Bobrisky spent the night in detention and is awaiting further directives from the authorities on the next steps regarding his case.
A source close to the investigation disclosed to Punch ONLINE that Bobrisky was transferred to the FCID for safekeeping after being apprehended by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS). The arrest occurred while Bobrisky was attempting to leave the country via the Seme border. The source also mentioned that further details regarding his arrest and ongoing detention will be provided as the case develops.
The source further revealed, “Bobrisky was brought to the FCID, Alagbon, at around 10 p.m. on Monday night, following his arrest by immigration officials at the Seme border. He was placed in detention for safekeeping, pending further actions.”

Confirming Bobrisky’s detention, the spokesperson for the FCID in Lagos, Mayegun Aminat, spoke with reporters on Tuesday, stating, “Yes, he is currently detained at FCID Alagbon. Bobrisky is in our custody, and we are in the process of obtaining a remand order to keep him in detention for further investigations.”
It is worth noting that the Nigeria Immigration Service had previously released a statement through its spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, on Monday evening, describing Bobrisky as a person of interest concerning recent public controversies. The statement clarified that Bobrisky was intercepted at the border due to these concerns.
Udo explained, “In line with our mandate to secure Nigeria’s borders, the Nigeria Immigration Service intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, at the Seme border while he was attempting to exit the country. He is currently undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation and necessary action.”
The NIS has assured the public that it will continue to fulfill its statutory duties of protecting the nation's borders with professionalism and civility, as evidenced by Bobrisky’s ongoing case.
