He recounted a tragic episode wherein one of his co-workers suffered a fatal fall from the company's structure into scalding industrial oil, resulting in the colleague's unfortunate demise.

Bella Shmurda recounted the incident: “It transpired on a Saturday morning. I had arrived at work, and we were already engaged in our tasks. Suddenly, cries and screams reverberated as news spread that an individual had fallen into hot oil.”

“The unfortunate incident unfolded while he was carrying out roof cleaning duties. Within the factory premises, there exists a type of oil through which Indomie [noodles] are passed to solidify their texture. This oil treatment precedes the noodles being packaged in nylon wrappers.”

“Regrettably, the individual plummeted into the oil. It took considerable time to rescue him from the perilous situation. The severity of the burns he sustained was grievous. On that day, without any hesitation, I removed my work attire, discarded my footwear, and departed. I resolved to cease my employment.”

Deeply affected by this tragic occurrence, Bella Shmurda promptly opted to resign from his job, as he found it emotionally unbearable to persist in such a distressing environment.

This heartrending narrative unfolded during a recent interview conducted by Cool FM Nigeria.
