Nollywood actress Eberechukwu Bayray Nwizu has shared insights into the industry, revealing that acquiring a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) has become a prerequisite for securing roles in Nollywood, according to a recent interview on TVC's Wake Up Nigeria.
Nwizu emphasized the shifting landscape of Nollywood, pointing out that the industry has witnessed significant growth in terms of financial investment and infrastructure. However, she noted a concerning trend where raw talent is overshadowed by the preference for social media sensations chosen by producers to boost their productions.

Expressing her observations, Nwizu stated that the criteria for casting have evolved over the years. She remarked, "Ten years ago, it was you’re not fair enough, you’re not tall enough, you’re not full enough; now it’s you don’t have BBL." She further highlighted the importance of finding a balance between profitability for producers and recognizing diverse talents within the industry.
In response to the changing landscape, Nwizu encouraged aspiring actors not to conform to unrealistic standards. Instead, she suggested leveraging streaming platforms to create and showcase original content, enabling individuals to cultivate their own paths in the industry. Despite external pressures, Nwizu affirmed that opportunities exist for those willing to embrace alternative routes and break free from traditional expectations.
