Chacha Eke’s husband and filmmaker, Austin Faani [/b], makes a plea to online trolls to show restraint in their criticism of actor Yul Edochie, who has faced public scrutiny after revealing the birth of a second child with his mistress-turned-wife, Judy Austin.
On his Facebook page, Austin argues that critics should recognize Yul Edochie's humanity despite any perceived wrongs. He expresses concern about the severe online persecution, deeming it lacking in compassion, especially in a religiously inclined nation like Nigeria.
While acknowledging Yul's questionable actions and handling of the situation, Austin urges Nigerians to ease up on the relentless torment. He suggests that if people believe karma will catch up with Yul, they should allow him to face the consequences without exacerbating the situation further.
In Austin Faani’s appeal to online trolls on behalf of Yul Edochie, he states, “Let’s all agree Yul did what we deem wrong both publicly and privately and let us also agree that he is responding in a way we still disapprove and deem wrong.”
“However, guys, this guy is a human being, the torment is too bloody and lacks any iota of love for a country that is desperately religious.” Austin emphasizes the need for empathy and calls for a more measured response, considering the impact on Yul's family and livelihood.
