Nigerian singer Asake sheds light on the hurdles individuals with tattoos face when seeking employment in Nigeria.
In a recent article featured in the latest edition of GQ magazine, Asake recounted his personal experience, highlighting how societal biases hindered his opportunities due to his neck tattoo.
He expressed, “In Nigeria, if you have a tattoo on your neck, you can’t work anywhere. I can’t work for any company. I can’t sell anything.”
Asake also delved into his journey to prominence, dispelling the notion of overnight success in the Nigerian music scene.
The "Yoga" singer revealed that he had been striving for years to achieve recognition and only recently attained his desired level of success.
