Nollywood actress, Adaeze Eluke, defends the practice of churches reserving seats for celebrities and important dignitaries in response to a tweet criticizing the practice.
The actress disagrees with the argument that it's unfair to other church members, emphasizing that it is perfectly acceptable for churches to allocate seats for celebrities and dignitaries.
Adaeze draws a parallel with events like weddings where specific seats are reserved for important guests, suggesting that similar protocols should apply in churches.
In her perspective, reserving seats for celebrities ensures order and maintains a certain atmosphere in the church, and if people are uncomfortable with it, they can adjust their attendance habits.
She stated that when people invite others to important occasions like weddings, they don’t just put anybody on the high table or front row.
She believes such spaces are reserved for only important people if not anyone else could have access.
According to her, that is how the church should operate and if people are not comfortable with it, they should stop coming early or not come at all.
