Nigerian actress, Abigail Nebechi, admonishes her fellow Nollywood actors for their tendency to quickly share news of death while neglecting to celebrate joyful occasions such as birthdays.
Following the announcement of Jnr Pope's survival, she took the opportunity to highlight this disparity, expressing disappointment in their lack of enthusiasm for celebrating others' birthdays.
Nebechi observed that most actors would either forget or post belated birthday wishes, with some even ignoring them altogether.
She emphasized that it often takes a tragic event or death for them to rally together as a community.
Nebechi urged her colleagues to improve their behavior while expressing hope for Jnr Pope's recovery from the drowning incident.
Unfortunately, shortly after her post, news of the actor's passing emerged, following his prolonged struggle for survival.
Abigail Nebechi's post reads:
"Nollywood people, Una Weldon, so una sabi rush post person death but if na person birthday now will wait till 9pm, 10pm even some till d next day. God will help all of us we see and know them!"
