Nollywood star Sharon Ooja faces criticism from a woman who chastises her for obscuring her partner's face in her engagement photos.
Sharon recently announced her engagement in a beach video on Instagram, proudly displaying her engagement ring but keeping her partner's face hidden.
This decision sparked ire from a Nigerian lady who took to X platform (formerly Twitter) to express her frustration with the trend of women concealing their partners' identities.
In her tweet, she writes, "I never understand why Nigerian ladies like to hide their men. It just gives credence to the stereotype that Nigerian women are men snatchers. I hate it so much and I’m disappointed in you @SharonOoja."
She continues, "Like it or not, in the hierarchy of humans, some people wield influence more than others. The fear of fellow women in our society limits the celebration of one of life’s milestones. Nigerian women’s reputation locally & abroad suffers as a result. These are the issues 😮💨."
Her comments prompted a flurry of reactions from fans of Sharon Ooja, with many ridiculing the lady for meddling in the actress's affairs.
