The Chief District Court in the Federal Capital Territory's Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, has issued an injunction against renowned Nigerian OAP Kayode Oladotun, widely known as Do2dtun. This order prohibits him from making defamatory remarks against musician Oladapo Oyebanjo, also known as D'banj, on social media or any other platform. Additionally, the court has tasked the Deputy Inspector of Police from the Force Intelligence Bureau to investigate a criminal complaint lodged by D'banj against Do2dtun and furnish a report to the court within two weeks.

This legal development, which transpired on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, involved an application by D'banj to prevent Do2dtun from disseminating allegedly malicious and defamatory statements about him on social media. D'banj's attorney, Toheeb Lawal of the Abuja-based legal firm Law Corridor, represented him in the matter.

The court, presided over by Justice Emmanuel Iyanna, granted the application, effectively restraining Do2dtun from making any malicious, intimidating, or defamatory posts targeting D'banj on any social media platform or news media until the substantive case is heard and determined.

This legal action comes in the wake of a public feud in which Do2dtun alleged that D'banj's sister, who he was previously married to, denied him access to their children, prompting a series of public exchanges between the two parties. The court's decision marks an attempt to bring an end to this ongoing dispute.
