Neo Energy, a participant in Big Brother Naija All Stars, has revealed that his former partner, Vee Iye, attempted to rekindle their relationship after a 9-month breakup.
Neo and Vee were romantically involved during the "Lockdown" season of Big Brother Naija, but their relationship dissolved shortly after the show.
Neo confided in fellow All Stars housemate Pere, sharing that Vee attempted to revive their romance, but he declined due to her lingering resentment towards his cousin, Venita.
“The disagreement between Vee and I was trivial. Even now, I can't figure out why it escalated, as it seemed more like my ex wanting to... Honestly, I'm not certain if I've mentioned this before, but one of the reasons I hesitated to give my ex [Vee] another chance was because, nine months after our breakup, she was still holding onto a grudge involving my cousin.
“And I thought, 'You can't end our relationship, wait nine months, and then attempt a return while still bearing resentment towards my family.' I refused to encourage a situation where you'd separate me from my family. Her communication was confrontational,” Neo explained.
“I realized I needed to take a stance, considering we might progress significantly in our relationship. We could potentially get married, and I wouldn't want a scenario where my family feels unwelcome in our home due to your lingering... You're meant to motivate me to build a family, not drive a wedge between me and the existing one. So, that's my perspective. I let it go.”
