Former participant of the reality TV show BBNaija 'All Stars,' Doyin, recently shared a surprising and disheartening story. She recounted how her closest friend betrayed her by entering into a relationship with her boyfriend.
According to Doyin, her best friend, despite frequently mocking her boyfriend due to his bad leg that caused him to limp, ended up snatching him away from her. This revelation came as a shock to Doyin, as her friend had consistently belittled her partner, claiming he wasn't good-looking and not suitable for her.
The shocking twist took place when Doyin introduced her friend to her boyfriend for the first time. Unbeknownst to her, they exchanged contact information and started a relationship behind her back. Doyin expressed her feelings of betrayal, highlighting how her friend's actions deeply affected her trust in people.
Doyin further shared that the two individuals involved are still together and even have a child. Reflecting on the situation, she stated, "I have been betrayed before. I used to have a best friend, and we were very close. As a matter of fact, people used to refer to us as twins, because we even looked alike. At the time, I had a boyfriend, but she always discouraged me and told me that he was not good looking, because he had a bad leg and used to limp a little bit. She would always make jokes about his leg. At some point, I took her with me to visit him.
Somehow, they exchanged numbers and I did not find out. I was dating him and did not even realise that my best friend was also dating him. Till this day, they are still together. They actually have a son together, and I wish them well. But, at the same time, I felt betrayed. That really affected the way I trust people."
