The founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, revealed to his congregation on Sunday that he pays more than 10% as tithes, stating that if he didn't, God would flog him. Speaking to his members in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Pastor David Ibiyeomie described the refusal to pay tithes as a form of greed.
Addressing the topic of "Prospering with the Word," Ibiyeomie emphasized the importance of tithing for financial prosperity. He stated that tithing is the gate to Kingdom wealth and that if one doesn't pay their tithe, the gate remains locked, regardless of their suffering or tears. He urged his congregation to understand the significance of tithing as a means to access financial fortune.
Pastor David Ibiyeomie also touched on the importance of giving offerings and Prophet offerings, stating that he has three safes in his house for tithes, offerings, and Prophet offerings. He expressed his belief that one cannot prosper without a Prophet and mentioned that he pays more than ten percent as his regular offering, not limiting himself to the recommended ten percent tithe. He further explained that he is on another level when it comes to tithing and that he pays far beyond ten percent for every money he receives.
In summary, Pastor David Ibiyeomie shared with his congregation his practice of paying more than 10% as tithes, highlighting the significance of tithing as a gateway to financial prosperity and dismissing the recommended ten percent as insufficient for his personal commitment.
