Speaking to his members in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Pastor David Ibiyeomie described the refusal to pay tithes as a form of greed.

He stated that tithing is the gate to Kingdom wealth and that if one doesn't pay their tithe, the gate remains locked, regardless of their suffering or tears. Pastor David Ibiyeomie also touched on the importance of giving offerings and Prophet offerings, stating that he has three safes in his house for tithes, offerings, and Prophet offerings. He expressed his belief that one cannot prosper without a Prophet and mentioned that he pays more than ten percent as his regular offering, not limiting himself to the recommended ten percent tithe. He further explained that he is on another level when it comes to tithing and that he pays far beyond ten percent for every money he receives.
