Recounting the horrifying experience, Prosper, while speaking to reporters in Warri, revealed that he is a VIO and they were on patrol duty in Warri when they apprehended a driver whose vehicle's particulars had expired. Following standard procedure, Prosper's boss instructed him to accompany the driver to their office in Warri to verify the status of the vehicle's documents.

However, the situation took a violent turn as the driver, filled with anger, threatened to kill Prosper, blaming the VIO for alleged past grievances. The driver then brandished a dagger and attempted to harm Prosper, who struggled to escape from the speeding vehicle. In the midst of the struggle, Prosper fought back, but unfortunately, the driver managed to bite off Prosper's ear.

Adding to the gruesome nature of the incident, the driver spat out Prosper's severed ear, which fell to the ground, and subsequently fled the scene, leaving his vehicle behind. The Sienna car is currently in the custody of the VIO. Reflecting on the traumatic event, Prosper expressed gratitude to God for preserving his life and implored the government to ensure that justice is served if the culprit is apprehended.

"I give God all the glory for keeping me alive. As for the man responsible, let the law take its course," Prosper stated, emphasizing the need for appropriate legal action to be taken against the attacker.
