Navy officers stormed the Enerhen police station in Warri on Friday March 10, 2023. According to online reports, the police officers had arrested a member of the Nigerian Navy, which allegedly prompted the Navy officers to enter the police station and attack the policemen on duty. The situation escalated and shots were fired, causing panic among residents who fled the area. Videos of the incident have circulated on social media, one of which shows a policeman identified as Kingsley with a bloody nose while fighting back against one of the Navy officers.
The incident has caused concern among the public, with many calling for an investigation into the matter. It is unclear at this time what actions will be taken by the Nigerian Navy or the Nigerian Police Force in response to the incident.
