Blastique is set to release his first EP titled Love and Heartbreak before the end of the year and "Monica" is the first song of the EP. Blastique is an Afro-fusion artist who grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and currently churns out tunes from the same city. Through listening to Nigerian greats like Fela, Eedris AbdulKareem and dancehall greats like Shabba Ranks with influences from other African and Western music he has been able to fuse a style of music that caters to lovers of good music.
"Monica" is a perfect blend of the afro-vibe as he talks about his love for a babe and the heartbreak that came after. He melodiously talks about her place in his life and how she did him dirty. "Monica" is an Afropop song with an unforgettable hook and a slow bop that pleases the ears.
