Sharing photos on his Instagram handle, he wrote:
“The little we give goes a long way to impact the lives of people. Deep in the Volta Region 35 schools were visited by the team and I alongside the DCE Afadzato South.”
In related news, the Education Ministry donated a brand new pickup vehicle to Rahim Banda in June 2020.
The young actor, who has been supporting schools in remote communities with teaching and learning materials over the years, received the present to facilitate his free flow to and from such deprived areas.
Although the car was donated by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), Rahim made it known that he had earlier requested for sponsorship in the form of a vehicle from the Ministry of Education to help him reach beneficiaries of his ‘Back to School’ project.
“We have donated close to two hundred thousand books (200,000) to schools within deprived areas and some schools in numerous Zongo communities. We see this gesture as a motivation and an opportunity to do more,” he said.
