Burna Boy, Nigeria's first Afrobeat Grammy winner, has finally gotten his plaque in Lagos, Nigeria.

The self-acclaimed African giant took to Instagram on June 10th to share images of the magnificent golden gramophone with his fans and followers.
He wrote about the photographs when he shared them:

Early Morning deliveries from across the pond!

My parents prayed for excellent children, not houses, cars or “things”. They asked my sisters for stellar degrees; one got a first class in Finance, the other got a Distinction in Engineering. They asked me for a Grammy, and here we are. I am a product of sacrifice! Thank God and thank you all again! ”

Remember that when 2Baba posted his happy message for Burna two months ago, he teased followers with a fake of the plaque.

Burna Boy, on the other hand, has uploaded authentic images of the plaque, and celebs and fans have congratulated him in the comments section.

Recall, Burna Boy made Nigerians proud when his 2020 album, “Twice as Tall” won the “Best Global Music Album” at the 63rd Grammy Awards on the 16th of March, 2020.
