Nigerian music producer and singer, Phillip Kayode Moses, popularly known as Pheelz, has opened up about his love for women and how it inspires his music. According to him, he is a “ladies’ man” and takes pride in the way he treats women. However, he made it clear that he is not a “woman wrapper,” emphasizing that being a gentleman is a significant aspect of his identity.
In an audiovisual podcast F&S Uncensored, Pheelz revealed that his love for women reflects in his lyrical content, which is often about women. He added that he loves taking his fan base, whom he calls “The Trybe,” on dates and getting to know them personally. He stated that he wants his fans to feel connected to him and understand his personality, hence why he takes some of them on dates.
“I’m a ladies’ man. That’s why I sing about them [ladies]…I’m not a woman wrapper. I’m a ladies’ man. I’m a gentleman. The ladies love me. I talk good, smell good, am six-foot, body built, make love good. You understand, no be indomie things. They no dey do indomie for here o. We take our time," Pheelz explained.
He further added, “I called my fan base, The Trybe, and I love every single one of them. I love going for dates like I just take some ladies of The Trybe on a date. But I’m planning something for the guys as well…The kind of fan base I want to have, I don’t want to be away from my fans. My real fans, I want them to feel like they know me. And I want them to really know me. That’s why I take some of them on a date.”
