Ghanaian Pastor, Jedidia Henry Kore, widely known as Fire Oja, responds to the criticisms surrounding the failure of his prophecy concerning the Ghana national team and player Mohammed Kudus.
Ahead of the African Cup of Nations match against Egypt, Pastor Kore predicted a devastating defeat for the Black Stars against Egypt’s Pharaohs.
In a peculiar twist, he suggested that the only way Ghana could avert the impending loss was by donning red jerseys. Furthermore, he foresaw Kudus underperforming, claiming to have seen him casually enjoying popcorn during the game, interpreting it as a premonition of disgrace.
Contrary to the prophecy, Ghana secured a draw in the match, and Kudus defied the prophet’s predictions by scoring both goals.
Facing relentless criticism, Pastor Kore expressed disappointment with individuals resorting to disrespectful comments about his mother, stating, “Someone just insulted my mother all because a prophecy had come to pass, and I didn’t do anything about it. Hmmm, the sad news is the same people will call you fake if the prophecy didn’t come to pass. Always insulting men of God.”
He continued, shedding light on the predicament faced by prophets: “When a prophecy comes to pass, they will insult you that if you are a good man of God, you should have PRAYED to God to cancel it. When you pray for God to redeem it, they will insult you and say you are fake; that is why YOUR prophecy didn’t come to pass. WHAT SHOULD WE DO? Pls note YOU CAN INSULT ME BUT DON’T INVOLVE MY PARENTS.”
