Iroko TV CEO, Jason Njoku [/b]has stirred reactions online by gifting his son, Obi, a Nokia 5310 feature phone for his 11th birthday.
Taking to the microblogging platform X, the husband of Nollywood actress, Mary Njoku, shared photos of his son and his birthday present, which was celebrated yesterday.
Jason bought his son the no-application Nokia 5310 feature phone as a birthday gift, as Obi had been persistently asking for one. He mentioned that his son would receive a smartphone on his 16th birthday instead.
Jason's message read: “Yesterday was Obi’s 11th birthday 🥰. His been asking for a phone. So we got him one. The no apps Nokia 5310 feature phone. 🤣. He can get a smart phone when his 16. 🙏🏾”
While many online viewers wished Obi a happy birthday, others praised Jason Njoku for his thoughtful approach to parenting.
