Famous Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon responds to a troll who questioned his aggressive movie promotion tactics, sharing the encounter on his Instagram page.
The actor expressed frustration over the fan labeling his promotional efforts as those of a rookie, despite his established career in the Nollywood industry.
According to Deyemi Okanlawon, he attributed his marketing approach to his financial struggles, stating that being broke motivates him.
Feeling provoked by the inquiry, he admitted to blocking the troll, citing the reminder of his financial responsibilities as a man as the reason.
In his statement, he said, “Someone said ‘Deyemi you be senior man na, why you dey promote your film like say you be rookie’… for a brief second all the many ppl who depend on me flashed through my mind, I smiled and blocked the id*ot! 🙂.”
He continued, “Being broke as a man is very degrading and frustrating. To every man who’s putting in the work to change his financial status for the better, I hope you win soon bro, I hope things get better for you real soon.”
