Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold has taken to social media to announce his plans for the year, revealing his intention to "disturb" fans and critics alike. The message comes after some fans of fellow Nigerian artist Burna Boy accused Adekunle of copying Burna Boy's style.
On Twitter, a group of people shared photos of the two musicians wearing similar outfits and accused Adekunle of plagiarizing Burna Boy's style. One person wrote, "The Burna Boy plagiarism is really so obvious and very annoying at this point. Man can’t you just be yourself? Same posture, same glasses, same smile. WTF?!"
In response, Adekunle posted a video online, promising to "press people's necks" without hesitation. "I just want to announce that this is the year that I will be pressing your necks real bad. Get ready," he said in the video.
The accusations of plagiarism come amid a growing trend of musicians being accused of copying each other's styles and sounds. Some see it as a sign of a lack of creativity in the music industry, while others argue that it's natural for artists to be inspired by and borrow from one another. Regardless, it seems that Adekunle has no intention of backing down and is ready to make his mark in his own unique way.
